It’s Monday and I’m really excited to busk today!
There’s a cruise ship coming in so I’m hoping for decent footfall throughout the day, and my energy is better than it’s been. I’m sure it would be even better if Angus didn’t insist on climbing into our bed every night, but he is super cute. He wakes up this morning, kisses me and says “I love the pictures” and points to the wall next to our bed with the family photos under the map. Adorable!
The kids get started on their schoolwork and we practise music. Grace is really enjoying having her schedule written on the new chalkboard cupboards.
I have to change my strings as I busted one during my last busking session, and my Stringjoys have seen better days so I switch them. Unfortunately I just have a cheap brand but they sound bright and I’m looking forward to playing on freshies! The cat helps.

I hit the street for noon and play till two when I abruptly run out of steam, so I head back to the Hoose to recharge my batteries and then head out again for shift number two. I told Daniel he’s got to rest today because he did all the work yesterday and he has a sore throat. Besides that, his strings are in even worse shape than mine so we’ll have to pick up some more before his next shift.
I have way more energy the second time round! Only problem is that it is really slow. I do my best and make 14 bucks then walk home. Not my best but it’s better than nothing for sure! A guy from the sweet shop dropped in some candy so I’ll save that for a special occasion!

We drive to Walmart to get some milk and pay our phone bills and plan to get strings and a dump in the morning before we hit the streets again!
