We have a relaxing day, stocking up on groceries thanks to my generous tips the night before.
The kids want to play so we spend the day at a great park on Amelia Island.
I’m glad to discover that I love Florida as much as I did the last time we visited. That’s good because we are going to be here over Christmas and so far we have no plans for the spring. We’ve discussed going up north to New York and all the states in that area which we haven’t visited yet, or maybe heading northwest towards Montana, but as of right now we are free as a bird.

There is a little library so we swap some books, something we do regularly as they are available in a lot of the parks we visit. It helps keep things fresh so the kids always have something new to read. I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I can remember and all the children love books too! Angus chooses some cute stories and the older ones want science books, much to my approval.
We drive to Walmart and I make a chicken curry loaded with vegetables- our diet hasn’t been the best recently due to a slight lack of funds and I’m trying to make up for it. Daniel has stomach issues sometimes and my cooking can heal it. It’s delicious! I’ve always been a foodie and was blessed to be taught how to make curry from scratch when I was 16, which gave me lots of confidence using herbs and spices, which I love having a large collection of.
We relax after dinner and get everyone settled with a bedtime story before having an early night.
