We spend a quiet night at Cracker Barrel and all have a cozy sleep with extra blankets on the beds
n the morning, I make some porridge with raisins and cinnamon and the boys have seconds! We chill there for the morning while Daniel has a long lie as he’s had a little trouble sleeping recently. After he wakes up and has some breakfast, we drive along to Walmart for groceries for the day, have some chicken wraps for lunch, then go down to the beaches where we get a great parking spot on the main road.
I get ready and go out around 2pm, and Daniel takes the kids to the beach. It’s pretty busy and I have a really good afternoon. The fam passes by on the way back from the beach where it was freezing they said! I go back not long after to cook dinner and get ready for set number two.
The sun has gone down when I go back out and I’m glad I’m wearing my coat.
It makes me laugh to remember that I used to think Scotland wasn’t a cold country, and now I’m cold in Florida!
There aren’t many people this time but I still have fun for about an hour and a half, and I think I’ll play for another hour and a half or so when suddenly it rains! I didn’t expect that!
I’m a bit disappointed because I really like this spot, but I pack up and head back to the Hoose.
I check the weather and it says rain all day tomorrow, so there might not be busking but I’m hopeful it will change, as it often does. If not, perhaps we will go to the next town through the week and busk then as well as next weekend. We will have to wait and see!

Our First Ever Thanksgiving
